GridOS Technical Lead - Database Admin

GE Vernova is seeking a Database Administrator to spearhead the implementation, tuning, and integration of GridOS database solutions. The role requires close collaboration with customers, Delivery Managers, and Project Managers to define requirements, develop technical proposals, and deliver high‑quality software upgrades and interface projects.

• Coordinate with PM and DM to manage scope, schedule, risk, and quality of technical deliverables.
• Lead the design, deployment, configuration, tuning, and testing of GridOS transmission and distribution solutions.
• Prepare and modify client and testing input data for model files, load forecasts, and scenario planning.
• Validate powerflow results and convert client CIM network models using custom tools and scripts.
• Collaborate with Service Engineering leads to ensure custom deliverables meet defined needs and standards.
• Respond to client inquiries, bugs, and product ideas, filing tickets for the product or project team.
• Lead simulation of project scenarios, perform use‑case and client‑specific testing, and lead factory and site acceptance testing.
• Debug software, document issues for testing teams, and analyse data and results of project activities.
• Report on project outcomes and present findings to project partners and stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience in the electricity industry with strong analysis, requirement elicitation, and traceability skills.
• Proficiency in software development, SDLC understanding, and integration of custom solutions into the GridOS product.
• Familiarity with emerging energy industry trends, DER management, transmission, WAMS, distribution planning, SCADA, OMS, and asset management.
• Utility integration experience (e.g., SCADA, ADMS, OT, OMS, WAMS, DERMS).
• Experience with Common Interface Model (CIM).
• Programming experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse, C#, C++, and scripting languages such as JavaScript, Perl, Python, and RDBMS tools.
• Experience with factory acceptance test (FAT), site acceptance test (SAT), and user acceptance test (UAT).
• Knowledge of big data handling and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, crystal reports).
• Strong communication and mentoring skills for independent project team leadership.
