Job Description
Supplier Quality Engineer is in charge of supplier quality qualification and improvement, ensuring incoming parts comply with internal and customer requirements. This role follows the application of countermeasures by suppliers, confirms NC closures, and works in cooperation with Supply Chain, Internal Quality, and other cross‑functional teams to meet target metrics and promote long‑term improvement actions.
Responsibilities
Supplier quality improvement activities: analysis of data and NCs to define criticalities and improvement actions.
SCAR management and follow‑up until closure, including verification of effectiveness.
Monitoring of supplier quality metrics and managing Zero Defect Production (ZDP) projects.
Qualification/requalification activities with a special focus on new programs and critical parts.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and preferably ISO 9100 or other advanced management schemes.
Strong knowledge of Control Plans, Key Characteristics Control, SPC, MSA Studies, and FMEA.
Excellent knowledge of 8D/SCAR Management and root‑cause analysis techniques (5W, Ishikawa, FTA, etc.).
Familiarity with quality planning/management tools/systems (APQP) is preferable.
Fluent in English.
Preferred Additional Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Experience with SAP management software.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage tasks over extended periods.
Strong problem‑solving, teamwork, proactivity, planning, autonomy, and communication skills.
