Atlas Transformer, Brampton, Ontario – Custom Design and Manufacturing of high-quality Medium and High Voltage Dry Type and Liquid Filled Transformers.

• Review quote requirements for special units, recommend costs and technical details.
• Analyze the customer's order package and design the electrical part to satisfy specifications while minimizing total cost.
• Provide drawings for customers, suppliers, and production team as needed.
• Generate bill of material for procurement and manufacturing instructions.
• Coordinate with suppliers for quotes, review and approve supplier’s technical data sheets.
• Test transformers, prepare and review test reports to ensure product conformity to specifications.
• Collaborate directly with the Sales and Customer team.
• Inspect failed transformers on site and produce investigation reports.
• Liaise with distributors, contractors, and insurance surveyors for technical inspections.

• Good knowledge of electrical transformer design fundamentals.
• Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements at the factory and on site.
• Familiarity with provincial regulations & standards, CSA and IEEE standards for power and distribution transformers.
• Ability to address corrections, corrective actions, and improvement opportunities in each process.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and innovative solution development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to work collaboratively and present technical information clearly.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in design and documentation.
• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering required.
• 3‑5 years of experience designing electrical transformers.
• Experience with AUTOCAD and Inventor (essential);
  Solid Works (desirable).
