Assistant Quantity Surveyor | Bolton, UK
We have an exciting opening for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Bolton office. If you are a recently qualified quantity surveyor with approximately a year or more of experience, we would love to hear from you.
You will work as part of a highly successful team on fast-paced projects within the built environment and will receive expert guidance and support from our trained management team.

How You Will Contribute- Supporting preparation of estimates, cost plans and procurement documentation.
- Assisting with valuations, variations and monthly reporting processes.
- Maintaining cost tracking records and commercial documentation.
- Tracking actions, timelines and deliverables to help maintain project momentum and accountability.
- Coordinating inputs from consultants, contractors and internal teams.
- Communicating clearly with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Contributing to safe, efficient and high-quality commercial practices.
- Showing flexibility and willingness to support projects across sectors, clients and accounts.
- Taking initiative to build your quantity surveying skillset by seeking feedback and learning from each experience.
- Typically 12-18+ months experience supporting cost management or commercially focused roles.
- Familiarity with new build, refurbishment and/or fit-out related projects within the built environment.
- A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a similarly related discipline.
- Familiarity with cost planning, estimating, procurement and contract administration.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and support cost tracking and reporting.
- Takes ownership of tasks and is motivated to grow technical and consulting capability.
- Comfortable working across teams and contributing to inclusive, collaborative environments.
- Building confidence in client communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Committed to growing a meaningful career with TSA Riley.
- Hold a valid UK driving license.
