Workshop Engineer – Food service Equipment

Location: Bolton

My client is a proudly family‑owned business with a great reputation for quality, reliability, and doing things the right way – and industry awards to back it up. We are looking for a hands‑on, switched‑on Workshop Engineer to join our close‑knit team at our Bolton head office when one of our engineers retires.

You’ll be servicing and repairing a wide range of commercial food service equipment – gas, electric, warewashing, and refrigeration – right in the workshop at our Bolton HQ. You’ll be part of a solid team that takes pride in getting things right before the equipment heads out to customers across the UK. You’ll report to the Workshop Manager and work closely with the technical and projects teams so your skills and contributions will always be seen and valued.

• Hands‑on experience with gas/electric catering equipment, warewashers, counter fridges, etc. (Backgrounds in commercial kitchens, white goods, or technical servicing all considered)
• A practical problem‑solver with a can‑do attitude
• Detail‑focused and well‑organised – you can handle multiple jobs without breaking a sweat
• A team player who shares knowledge and is always up for learning
• Good communication skills and a strong sense of pride in your work
• COMCAT gas qualifications and microwave testing are a bonus – training can be provided for the right person
