Junior Solid Works Designer, RECRUITMENT HELPLINE

Our client’s design office requires a dynamic Junior Solid Works Designer to work full time on a range of CAD projects – using Solid Works to develop 3D models and drawings that will be used in manufacturing. He/she will produce accurate 3D solid and surface models, drawings, real‑time renders, and support the manufacturing team with BOMs. The role includes modelling complex curved staircases and bespoke wooden handrails, and occasional other specialist items such as furniture.

The candidate will also be required to provide monthly travel to various UK construction sites and customer premises to conduct digital surveys that feed into the CAD models, so a driving licence is essential (vehicle will be provided).

The candidate must have:

• Some experience of using Solid Works (non‑negotiable).
• Some working experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or CAD office.
• Strong initiative.
• Attention to detail.
• Driving licence.

Preferred but not essential:

• Degree or higher qualification in product design, digital modelling, CAD, or architectural CAD.
• Experience of working with staircases or joinery products.

Salary – £26k PA plus overtime, with good perks and progression.
Location - Bolton.
