Management Accountant

Position: Management Accountant (Permanent)
Management Accountant | £40,000 - £50,000 |Bolton + Hybrid & Flexible Working Hours| 25 Days plus Bank Holidays

Axon Moore are pleased to be working on behalf of a well-established business based in Bolton who are looking to add an experienced Management Accountant to their team. This is a newly created position which will provide additional support and to further strengthen the finance function in line with its growth plans.

As Management Accountant, you’ll take ownership of the financial operations across the group, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting. You will also lead on budgeting and forecasting and deliver insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Key

Responsibilities and Duties:

Prepare and present monthly financial information for board meetings to support strategic decisions.
Maintain accurate nominal ledgers and reconciliations with clear supporting schedules.
Monitor and manage cashflow on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, optimising working capital and funding facilities.
Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts for management and board reporting.
Review financial and operational data to support pricing, costing, and tender submissions.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including auditors, funders, HMRC, and suppliers.
Lead the Accounts and Payroll team, ensuring effective performance management and cross-training.
Support and collaborate with other functions such as HR and IT to ensure efficient business operations.
Required

Skills and Experience:

Part/Qualified Accountant/QBE
Proven work experience with management accounts
Advanced excel skills and strong analytical skills
Experience using Sage 50 Accounts
