Financial Accountant (Financial Control and Assurance)

Outstanding opportunity for an ACA or ACCA Qualified 1st or 2nd time mover, practice trained finance professional to join a £250m t/o award winning group as Financial Accountant. Supported by Finance Director and Financial Controller to establish a modern, future-proof financial accounting/controls environment for a rapidly expanding business.

• Lead on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for the group.
• Preparation of consolidated accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Statutory accounts production and liaise with external auditors.
• Support with group-wide technical accounting queries and implementation of accounting standards.
• Ensuring UK GAAP / IFRS compliance.
• Lead on year-end and interim statutory reporting.
• Cashflow reporting, tax schedules, and compliance documentation.
• Developing controls, processes, and reporting tools (Dynamics Business Central 365) to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Additional responsibilities may evolve based on the successful applicant’s skills and expertise. Ideal candidates are Big 4/Top 10 trained ACA or ACCA professionals seeking a first move into industry but we will also consider practice trained ACA/ACCA Industry based Financial Accountants/Group Accountants.

Technical accounting skills and excellent communication, relationship building with stakeholders across a large, rapidly expanding, multi-site business, ambition, driven, growth mindset.
