Role overview

As part of the store’s Junior Management team, you will provide managerial support and help maintain and improve customer service across your section. You will assist in supervising staff, maintaining shop floor standards, and perform daily managerial processes as instructed by Store Management.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing complaints and inquiries, ensuring staff appearance aligns with company guidelines, and understanding the customer service measurement programme.
  • Drive and exceed sales targets by monitoring staff service levels, utilising in‑store devices to offer the full product range, and analysing reports for effective product placement.
  • Maintain high visual merchandising standards using engaging visual techniques, ensuring stock is clean and presentable, and supporting sales floor standards.
  • Train and develop staff by assisting with new‑hire induction, encouraging personal progression, and overseeing the completion of relevant training assessments.
Role objectives and KPI’s
  • Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store’s monthly sales target.
  • Drive additional KPIs such as Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT, upselling, and cross‑selling targets.
  • Maintain a high Net Promoter Score.
  • Ensure stock accuracy during store audits.
  • Guarantee all new colleagues complete mandatory training.
Skills and Experience
  • Previous supervisory or team‑leader experience in a fast‑paced retail/customer‑facing environment.
  • Passion for retail with a solid understanding of the latest trends and competitors.
  • Experience of coaching and mentoring individuals.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high shop‑floor standards.
  • Ability to promote JD Group values to internal and external stakeholders.
