Traffic Operator

Responsibilities

• Dealing with multiple drivers
• Communicating with ports
• Booking delivery slots for entry in ports
• Using a transport system called TOPS to record driver start times and finish times
• Chasing drivers for ETAs and ensuring they are on time
• Rerouting jobs as needed
• Checking all PODs are matched with the correct jobs in the system
• Speaking to customers about possible delays and advising ETAs

• Previous experience as a transport operator – essential.
• Confident and clear communicator (written and verbal).
• Excellent UK geographical knowledge.
