Based in Elstree, you will be working on the long‑running multi‑award‑winning drama series, East Enders. Working in the Production Office, you’ll gain an understanding in all aspects of how the production works with a specific focus on the Editorial.
Your Key Responsibilities And Impact- Gaining an understanding of the whole production process from script to screen.
- Gaining a great insight into what is required to take our scripts from story to production.
- Experiencing what it takes to run a busy office on a BBC drama.
- Experience with the runner team as well as spending time with the Research, Story and Script Editing department.
You’ll be learning both on and off the job. This means that as well as learning on your placement at the BBC, you’ll also attend learning blocks (up to a week at a time) with our learning provider, working towards an industry recognised apprenticeship qualification - Level 3 Production Assistant. Learning blocks will be a mixture of in‑person and virtual delivery.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA- Be 18 years old or over by the time the apprenticeship begins in September 2026
- Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship
- Be legally eligible to work full‑time in the UK for the entire duration of the apprenticeship
