Veterinary Care Assistant - Fixed Term Contract

Wellpet Veterinary Group have a fantastic opportunity for an eager Veterinary Care Assistant to join our current nursing and reception team. This is a fixed-term role lasting approximately 12 months.

• Animal handling and restraint
• Inpatient care
• Pharmacy duties, order unpacking and stock rotation
• Reception cover
• Assisting with in-house laboratory tests
• General assistance of nurses and vets
• Cleaning and care of equipment, including maintenance and sterilisation of veterinary instruments
• Helping maintain a clean and hygienic environment throughout all clinical areas, including laundry duties

Our Small Animal Vet Services at Shenley and Edgware provide comprehensive first‑opinion veterinary care for dogs, cats, rabbits, and other common domestic species. We promote responsible pet ownership, with a particular emphasis on preventive healthcare. We pride ourselves on our skilled team and providing first‑class quality customer service to you is our priority.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about pets and their welfare and enjoy working as part of a team providing exceptional service to our clients. Experience is not required, but would be advantageous. Full on‑the‑job training will be provided.

You will work 40 hours per week, covering shifts Monday - Friday with shifts between 8:30 am to 8 pm and 1:4 Saturday and Sunday Mornings, 9:15 am to 1:15 pm on a rota.

Salary:
Up to £25,484.71 DOE.
