Quality Control Supervisor

Newly Weds foods provides premium ingredients and food coatings to some of the biggest brand names in the country! We are currently looking for a production supervisor to join our team at our Watertown plant just outside of Boston. Applicants must be
authorized to work in the US and we do not offer H1B visa sponsorship or relocation assistance for this role. This position pays double time on Sundays and triple time on company holidays. Overtime is frequent and paid out at 1.5 x wage

Assists with overseeing all QC functions directed towards controlling incoming ingredient quality, finished product quality, and overall quality control programs and special projects. All quality control technicians report to the quality control supervisor. Will cover as QC Manager in their absence and conduct investigations into customer complaints and products that are out of spec

• Supervise the collection of data required for QC or plant audits and catalogs or prepares data for use by Auditors and Management. .
• Analyzes data to provide requested information to those seeking to verify or confirm results. Works closely with all Managers and Supervisors on any documentation issues.
• Coordinate activities to meet the audit schedules and needs.
• Assists in the supervision and development of QC technicians to achieve maximum performance and technical capabilities.
• Works with QC manager or leads in any Internal and External Audits and assist in the direction of the audit team to ensure compliance for NWF to ensure a successful audit completion.
• Reviews data from employees to validate testing, troubleshooting, lab testing and floor verifications, ensuring that data is accurately and completely recorded.
• Works closely with R&D, QC management and others to certify documentation/records meet standards.
• Makes sure data is recorded/maintained and prepare forms, records, and logs as needed. Maintain such as required.
• Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

• Requires a College Degree or at least 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control.
• Minimum of three years of working in the Food Industry with internal/external audit experience. Knowledge of GMP and HACCP related topics is required.
• Strong communication, analytical abilities and organization skills.
• General knowledge of Adobe applications and Microsoft Office.
• Must be team player willing to work overtime as needed

QC Supervisor actively goes throughout the plant checking in on all QC works stations in addition to conducting routine internal audits
