** About the Opportunity
**** Job Summary
** We are seeking a motivated Research Technician to join the Monaghan Laboratory in the Department of Biology at Northeastern University. The successful candidate will contribute to a project to clear and image fixed tissues using multiplexed staining and light sheet microscopy. They will work directly with the Principal Investigator (PI) and a postdoctoral researcher to optimize protocols and collect data toward a publication.

The technician will also help keep the lab running by maintaining stocks and assisting with ordering. The role may include guiding undergraduate volunteers as needed.  
** Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
*** Carry out tissue clearing, multiplexed staining, and light sheet imaging of fixed tissues, including optimizing protocols in collaboration with the PI and postdoctoral researcher
* Collect, organize, and help analyze imaging datasets to support a planned publication
* Maintain lab stocks and organization, and assist with ordering supplies
* Help guide undergraduate volunteers in the lab as needed  
** Minimum Qualifications
**** Required
* ** Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, bioengineering, or a related field
* Laboratory experience handling tissues and tissue imaging, either in sections or whole mount
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
** Preferred
* ** Some computational skills for working with large datasets (a plus, but not essential)
