Lead Mechanical Design Engineer required for a leading sheet metal fabrication business based in Bourne, Lincolnshire. The successful candidate will head up the design team, to provide leadership and guidance to the small team of Design Engineers.

Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Overview

Managing the small team of designer engineers through allocating work and prioritising to meet production deadlines
Interpreting design briefs, and chairing design meetings
Taking a hands-on approach to design in assisting the creation of 3D models and FEA analysis with the use of PTC Creo
Creating and updating Bill of Materials, and liaising with suppliers on parts.
Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Requirements

5+ years of Design Engineering / Management experience within a sheet metal fabrication related industry
A knowledge of electricals, hydraulics and plumbing systems
Proficient with 3D modelling software such as Solidworks, Creo or Inventor.
Industry recognised qualifications, such as a degree in Mechanical engineering
Based in a commutable distance of Bourne, Lincolnshire
Lead Mechanical Design Engineer Position Remuneration

Salary £40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00, full-time, permanent position.
25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
