Duration: 6 months (February 2026 – August 2026), possible extension.
Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital.
Salary: Basic plus on‑call enhancements.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Trust Clinical Fellow in General Medicine as part of the Medical Specialties Directorate to join our team for six months from February 2026. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of developing our Medical Specialties and associated specialist areas. The post will provide dedicated training in one of the General Medical specialties and participation in the General Medicine and Older Persons Services on call.
It is suitable for those with at least two years of experience in Medicine at SHO equivalent grade or above.
We are a multidisciplinary team that is keen to support our speciality doctors in their career development, especially with management, QI and educational opportunities they may wish to pursue. These posts are not recognised training posts, however there are excellent teaching and postgraduate facilities. Post holders will be encouraged to attend a wide range of education meetings at lunchtimes throughout the week, and clinical experience will be gained from the Department's own educational programme.

Person Specification Qualifications- MBBS or equivalent
- MRCP
- PACES
- ALS Provider
- At least 2 years in Medicine at SHO equivalent grade or above
- Worked in the NHS (excluding clinical attachments)
- Previous ST3‑5 level experience
- Sound general medicine knowledge, able to manage a wide variety of acute medical emergencies
