- Line management of the Credit Controller and Assistant accountant, covering the accounts receivable and payable ledgers. Take ownership to optimise workload and career development for the team.
- Drive process improvements, leveraging automation and systems/tooling to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of key financial processes. Act as a change champion and develop and coach the team in adopting new ways of working.
- Ensure integrity of financial information, ensuring regular reconciliation of key ledgers and accounts.
- Work alongside the management accountant to drive timely and accurate month end reporting, including P&L analysis and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support the Group Financial Controller in leading the annual audit process, liaising with the auditors and seeking opportunities to drive efficiencies in the audit process.
- Understand, implement and reflect changes in accounting standards in internal management reporting.
- Escalation point for customer queries relating to financial matters where appropriate.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls.
- Experience working with Systems (ERP, Billing, CRM etc). Experience working with recurring billing systems is desirable, but not essential.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Process improvement experience.
- Strong drive, initiative and team management skills.
- An understanding of "what good looks like", and the ability to drive change in a fast growing organization.
- Experience managing and coaching finance teams.
- Proven relevant experience, including experience in working in fast paced environments (Private Equity/Big 4 etc).
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritise, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the company’s mission.
- Must be able to travel to Bournemouth office on agreed basis.
- 25 days basic annual leave, plus Bank Holidays.
