Position
Inpatient CAMHS Consultant – Antistatique
OverviewDorset Health Care is expanding its inpatient CAMHS service to include a brand-new 8‑bed High Intensity Environment/PICU opening in Bournemouth. The role is based within our newly established unit at Pebble Lodge, a General Adolescent Unit accredited by RCPsych, and will involve work across Bournemouth, Poole, Blandford, Weymouth and Dorchester.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct face‑to‑face assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex presentations.
- Meet with families and community staff, review records and produce clinical reports.
- Take part in daily ward meetings, Clinical Peer Group and discharge planning discussions.
- Provide tribunal work and present cases as required.
- Maintain professional standards under Section 12(2) and act as an Approved Clinician.
- Collaborate closely with Community CAMHS colleagues to support the emotional wellbeing of young people across Dorset.
- Enhanced Recruitment and Retention package: £20,000 paid in two £10,000 lump sums (first on appointment, second on anniversary).
- Relocation allowance of up to £10,000 for moves to Dorset.
- 10 days of study leave per year and an annual study leave budget of up to £1,000.

- Consultant-level demonstrable experience in CAMHS, ideally with inpatient and high‑intensity settings.
- Strong knowledge of assessment and treatment planning for complex pediatric and adolescent populations.
- Experience working collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary teams, including community services and specialists.
- Eligibility to act as an Approved Clinician and maintenance of Section 12(2) standards.
