Job Description & How to Apply Below
There is work to do, and expectations are high, but that is precisely what makes the opportunity so valuable for someone who wants to grow, contribute, and see the impact of their work. The hybrid model combines flexibility with the visibility that an effective HR Advisor needs. With three days each week in the office, the successful person will be close enough to the organisation to develop strong relationships, understand the operational environment, and remain accessible to the people they support.
Your new role Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Advisor will provide thoughtful, practical, and commercially grounded support across the employee life cycle. The role will build close relationships with managers and colleagues, develop a genuine understanding of the teams, operational pressures and people priorities across the organisation. A key part of the position will be coaching managers to handle people matters confidently and consistently.
The HR Advisor will provide balanced guidance on performance, absence, conduct, grievance, capability and organisational change, ensuring that decisions are fair, well-judged and aligned with both employment law and company policy. The expectation is not simply to provide an answer, but to help managers understand the reasoning behind good people practice and build stronger leadership capabilities over time. The role will also contribute to the broader people agenda, including workforce planning, engagement, retention, talent, succession and change activity.
By using HR data and day-to-day insight, the HR Advisor will identify patterns, highlight emerging risks, and help the wider team move from reactive case management towards informed, preventative action. What you'll need to succeed This opportunity will suit an HR professional with sound generalist experience who is ready to deepen their impact within a demanding, fast-moving organisation. The successful person may already be operating as an HR Advisor or could be an experienced HR Coordinator who has developed strong employee relations exposure and is ready to take the next step.
A good working knowledge of UK employment law is important, together with the confidence to manage sensitive issues with discretion and sound judgement. CIPD qualifications, or progress towards it, would be welcomed, although relevant practical experience and the ability to build credibility will be equally valued. The strongest candidates will combine warmth and approachability with resilience, curiosity, and professional courage.
They will be able to listen carefully, communicate clearly, and adapt their style to different audiences. They will understand that strong HR support is both people-centred and commercially aware and will be comfortable operating in an environment where priorities can move quickly, and the impact of decisions is visible. What you'll get in return Flexible working options available. What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
