Role will be part of our Quality Engineering & Assurance (QE&A) Practice. With more than 650 clients across industry verticals and a global footprint, Cognizant QE&A practice is a recognized thought leader in quality engineer and Assurance. As enterprises simplify, modernize and secure their legacy environments for the digital era, robust quality Engineering and assurance is essential. Quality takes an end-to-end connotation and must straddle both legacy and digital systems.

Cognizant QE&A is reimagining QE&A, employing an end-to-end ecosystem approach with intelligent and automated QA processes. In so doing, increasing quality and speed to promote faster business and technology change, as well as a better customer experience.

• Build and maintain QA automation suites (unit, integration, contract, API, and E2E tests) using tools like JUnit/TestNG, Rest Assured, Mockito, Cucumber/BDD, and pipeline-ready test runners.
• Set up test data management, mocking, and service virtualization for integration scenarios.
• Embed shift-left testing practices; integrate coverage and quality gates into CI/CD (e.g., Sonar Qube, Jacoco).
• Implement Mongo
  
  DB schemas (collections, indexes, aggregation pipelines) and choose storage strategies per workload.
• Containerize services; deploy and operate on Kubernetes.
• Investigate and resolve production issues using logs, metrics, and tracing.
• Work closely with Product, QA, Dev Ops, and Architecture to deliver features on time with high reliability.
• Design, build, and maintain microservices using Java (Java 8+), Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Implement RESTful APIs, service orchestration, and robust error handling, observability (logging, metrics, tracing).
• Develop and manage messaging integrations using Kafka and/or IBM MQ for event-driven workflows and reliable message delivery.
• Apply microservices patterns (circuit breaker, saga, CQRS, eventual consistency, service discovery, API gateway) where appropriate.

• Good Experience as Java SDET using spring tech stack.
• Hands on exp as a QA automation engineer.
• Exposure to messaging layers like IBM Mq, Kafka.
• Good understanding of microservices design patterns. Proficient in data modelling database SQL.
• Good understanding of Kubernetes concepts and related performance tuning.
• Working knowledge of Mongo db
