Key responsibilities for the CNC Machinist:

Prepare tooling and work holding using drawings and job sheets
Carry out accurate measurements and first-off checks with inspection tools
Set and operate CNC machines, adjusting offsets and changing inserts when required
Keep tooling organised, clean and maintained
Work closely with setters and machinists to keep workflows running smoothly
Maintain clear documentation and follow all quality and safety procedures

Essential skills for the CNC Machinist:

Proven background as a CNC Machinist on mills or lathes
Confident reading engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach
Good understanding of tooling, offsets and basic inspection
Reliable, organised and able to work independently
