The pay range for this role will be £52,413 – £60,357 (pro rata for part time colleagues).

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) has been accepted onto the Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM) Network 2024‑2026, a national initiative supporting local areas to improve services and personal outcomes for individuals facing multiple disadvantage such as poverty, poor health, homelessness, substance misuse, neurodiversity and contact with the criminal justice system.
About the RoleAs our MEAM Coordinator, you will design and deliver better‑coordinated services for individuals facing challenges such as homelessness, substance misuse and interaction with the criminal justice system. You will model and share best practice, working closely with local agencies to bring about systemic change across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. Working with key stakeholders in co‑producing innovative approaches with people with lived experience is a priority for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Work with system partners to establish BCP’s MEAM pilot programme.
- Support the implementation of an effective and robust structure of governance and director‑level input across services.
- Influence at a strategic level to effect system change.
- Champion equitable practice and challenge stigmatising and oppressive practice.
- Work with system partners to support BCP’s first MEAM cohort.
- Support frontline practitioners in implementing the MEAM approach and facilitate training to help system partners embed learning.
- Collect, analyse and manage data that contributes to system change and commissioning.
- Capture learning from the lived experience of people facing multiple disadvantage through co‑production.
- Collate and analyse learning to identify potential barriers to accessing services for our cohort – for example around eligibility criteria or approach.
- Negotiate between partners to flex boundaries, test new ways of working and deliver creative options and better outcomes for people.
- Provide progress reports, learning and evaluation to the MEAM Steering group bi‑monthly and other governance boards as required.
- Attend training and network forums available through MEAM, bringing back good practice from other areas to support operational learning and improvements in BCP.
- ‘A’ level or equivalent qualification and/or relevant experience within a homelessness or similar service delivering support to people experiencing multiple disadvantage.
- Experience of, and commitment to, co‑production with people with lived experience and frontline professionals.
- Experience of partnership and collaborative working across a broad system.
- Experience of successfully managing process and system change.
- Experience of analysing and managing data to effect change.
- Experience of providing reflective supervision and leading on communities of learning.
- Good verbal and written English.
- Knowledge of support needs of people facing multiple disadvantage including homelessness and substance misuse.
- Good knowledge and understanding of trauma‑informed and strength‑based practice.
- Commitment to equitable practice and ability to self‑reflect.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and trust with partners including people with lived experience.
- Ability to use data and IT systems to monitor outcomes, inform service delivery and to ensure smooth customer journeys and efficient processes.
- Ability to influence others across a wide range of levels, from operational support workers to senior clinicians, managers and directors.
- Ability to respond to the requirements of working in a political context, advising senior officers and partners where required.
