Domestic Assistant – The Poets (Worthing)

South Coast Nursing Homes is a family‑owned provider of care across East and West Sussex. Each of the nine registered homes offers the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We are looking for a Domestic Assistant to keep the home clean and safe, providing a superior level of service to our residents.

• Week 1 – Monday, Wednesday, Friday
• Week 2 – Friday, Saturday, Sunday

• Provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home at all times.
• Clean residents’ rooms thoroughly each day after nursing staff have completed their patient care.
• Check flowers and plants and water/dispose of them as necessary.
• Clean communal areas including mopping, vacuuming and dusting.
• Ensure the home is safe by removing clutter and keeping storage areas tidy.
• Shampoo carpets as and when needed.
• Present and provide clean and ironed laundry at all times, available for clients as needed.
• Take particular care with residents’ personal laundry to prevent accidental damage, presenting items in a well‑ironed state.
• Check residents’ personal laundry for tears, broken zips or lost buttons and refer to the matron for discussion if a repair is necessary.

• Hourly rate £12.21 – £12.82
