What you’ll be doing- Leading a team overnight to deliver all replenishment activities across the store, prioritising deliveries, organising the warehouse and replenishing shelves.
- Running the store operation on your own overnight, responsible for the full shift and the safety and wellbeing of colleagues in store.
- Ensuring standards are brilliant by morning so we’re ready to serve our customers.
- Managing people: performance, capability, disciplinary matters and ensuring accurate scheduling and pay.
Night‑shift managers work full‑time hours over 4 nights, and receive a £4,500 premium on top of the base salary (nights typically run from 22:00 to 08:00).
What makes a great night shift manager- Comfortable with night‑shift working, adaptable to the physical and mental impact of these shift patterns, and committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for the team.
- Previous line‑management responsibilities in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
- Resilience to handle both the mental and physical demands of working nights.
- Provides brilliant customer service and coaches the team to do the same.
- Experience delivering and monitoring KPI’s or other performance indicators.
- Ability to manage disciplinary, performance or other employee relations issues.
- Leads operations independently in the absence of more senior management.
- Puts inclusivity at the heart of everything.
- Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
- Experience leading a team in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment—motivating others, driving performance, and keeping operations running smoothly.
- Operational leadership skills: responsible for store operations in the absence of senior managers.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs—sales, availability, customer satisfaction, or colleague engagement.
- Managed employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.
- Desirable: experience working night shifts in a high‑volume environment, adapted to the physical and mental demands of overnight working, creating a safe, supportive atmosphere for the team.
Salary will depend on experience, store size, complexity and location. Additionally, we offer a range of benefits for our managers:
