Wordpress Developer

We are looking for a skilled Word Press developer who can bring both technical expertise and a client-focused approach to the table. You will have come from a similar industry position and will have practical, commercial experience with the relevant technologies.

At this level, you must be self-sufficient in your development and be able to make informed decisions on your own with little guidance. This position is where the majority of Cold Banana developers currently are with variations in skill sets.

• Produce clean, efficient, testable code based on specifications.
• Adhere to organisational policies, standards and best practices in application development, documentation, and maintenance that support industry best practices and project approaches.
• Develop and maintain wordpress databases.
• Review and refactor code.
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software. (Regular CMS and plugin updates.)
• Verify and deploy programs and systems using industry-standard tooling.
• Communicate with the delivery team and clients to help clarify development tasks.
• Communicate with the internal team and clients to help clarify development tasks and attend quoting meetings when required.
• Attend training and education sessions.
• Work hand-in-hand with the team to transform vision into fully functional wordpress digital platforms.
• Constantly refine and document processes to help us improve efficiency.
• Customise themes and plugins based on clients' needs.

• Minimum 2+ years' experience
• Proficiency in Word Press
  development (Themes, plugins, customisations)
• Elementor page builder plugin
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and Java script
• Experience with PHP
  for backend functionality
• Understanding of SEO best practices
• Skill in responsive design
  for mobile and desktop

• Formidable plugin
• Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugin
• Google Lighthouse for performance optimisation
• Plugin development and Word Press REST API
• DNS management and familiarity with servers and SFTP
