Accountant II *Repost*; Grant Manager

This Accountant II position with a working title of Non-Unified Funding Documents (UFD) Private Funding Grants Manager is based at the Howard County Health Department in Columbia, Maryland. The role manages approximately 20 grants funded through various non-UFD private funding streams, performing financial analysis, budget management, grant reconciliation, and financial reporting. The position involves 70% grant management duties, 20% grant invoicing work, and 5% special projects, with eligibility for hybrid telework.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by three credit hours in auditing
• Two years of experience examining, analyzing and interpreting accounting systems, records and reports using generally accepted accounting principles
• Experience maintaining accurate records on grant awards and expenditures
• Experience in preparing annual budget requests and monthly budget projections
• Experience accounting for grants from multiple funding sources
• Experience implementing fiscal policies and procedures
