THE PHYSIO STUDIO is looking for a part time receptionist for ‘ad-hoc’ holiday cover and a short term contract to join our established family run physiotherapy, sports injury, massage & pilates clinic located in Binfield, near Bracknell.

One of our admin team has some scheduled surgery coming up so we are looking for 6-12 weeks cover on a short term contract alongside ongoing ad-hoc, flexible hours for future holiday and sickness cover.

The role and responsibilities

This role is essential in providing efficient administrative support while creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for patients and team members. You will be responsible for managing appointment bookings and welcoming clients to facilitate the smooth running of the clinic diary and our 14 weekly Pilates classes. Daily tasks include taking frequent phone calls, managing payments, invoices, medical correspondence, clinic emails and facilitating the patient health insurance billing process.

  • Strong phone etiquette and a clear, empathetic manner when managing appointments and handling booking inquiries
  • Solid admin skills, such as record keeping, scheduling, and accurate data entry
  • Exceptional communication and patient liaison skills to create a welcoming and supportive environment
  • Ability to multitask, stay organised, and work efficiently in a busy setting
  • Proficiency with office software and understanding of clinic booking systems is essential; familiarity with 'Mac' computers is a definite bonus
  • Prior experience in a similar role in a healthcare setting is a plus due to the need to get up to speed with booking systems quickly
Hours offered
  • Short term contract for between 8.5 and 20 hours for a 6-12 week period. Shifts available are Monday 14:45 to 20:45 (6 hours), Thursday 15:00 to 20:30 (5.5 hours) and Friday 07:45 to 16:45 (8.5 hours). A 30 minute break is paid in addition for shifts over 5 hours. Evening hours preferable.
  • ’Ad-hoc’ / emergency or holiday cover for any hours offered & accepted to cover scheduled team holidays or sickness for any shift during clinic hours.

The ideal candidate would be able to start soon on a short term contract for this initial 6-12 week period, then wish to continue in the team in an 'ad-hoc' role after that ends.
