Role Overview

As a brand‑new role, our Bid Managers will be pivotal team members in shaping and advancing our growth. They will lead complete life cycles, from inception to submission, of high‑value strategic bids and agile growth proposals, ensuring compliant, high‑quality, and persuasive submissions. Acting as the strategic bridge between our business divisions, Bid Managers collaborate with key stakeholders to transform complex service solutions into winning growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Bid Leadership
    :
    Lead and manage the full lifecycle of major tenders and funding applications, personally authoring high‑impact strategic content while ensuring submissions are fully compliant with all client and regulatory requirements.
  • Governance & Review Coordination
    :
    Act as the primary lead for the bid review cycle; coordinating and facilitating governance gates, sign‑off and review programmes to ensure the submission is challenged, refined and formally approved at every stage.
  • Growth Enablement
    :
    Develop agile proposals and sales presentations that drive business expansion, collaborating with stakeholders to transform complex service concepts into persuasive, executive‑ready materials and growth‑focused collateral.
  • Editorial Oversight
    :
    Act as the final editorial lead for all bid documentation to ensure accuracy, “one‑voice” consistency and readability; authoring compelling executive summaries and leading the narrative for high‑stakes proposal sections.
  • Solution & Financial Alignment
    :
    Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders to define technical solutions and win themes; partner with commercial/finance colleagues to lead commercial reviews, ensuring technical responses align with pricing models and meet all internal governance benchmarks.
  • Continuous Improvement
    :
    Support the development of our newly formed bid function by overseeing the content library development and embedding best practices, including standardised review templates and post‑bid feedback loops into the team’s bidding processes.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Experience leading end‑to‑end bid processes in complex or service‑driven environments, including public sector and commercial settings.
  • Strong bid writing and editing skills with the ability to condense complex information into clear, concise documents.
  • Demonstrable commercial awareness and understanding.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
