Business Development Representative
Epicor is hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive new business opportunities through a mix of cold outreach and responding to warm leads via phone, email, social media, and other channels.
Duties & Responsibilities- Perform outbound prospecting, including identifying targets, preparing outreach materials, executing outreach, and handing off qualified prospects to the sales team.
- Engage mid‑size to large businesses, targeting relevant roles such as C‑Level executives.
- Deliver qualifying leads and cultivate new prospects to help the sales team achieve revenue goals.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly scorecard metrics such as scheduled calls, completed calls, qualified opportunities, and closed deals.
- Conduct market research to support the Territory Managers in the field.
- Continuously learn Epicor’s applications, value proposition, and differentiation to enhance conversations.
- Enter data accurately into the customer relationship management software.
- Excellent phone, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to answer questions from prospects and customers about Epicor’s products, services, and implementation.
- Leadership experience and a desire to advance into future leadership roles.
- Preferred telephone sales experience, or solution‑selling experience in the software industry.
- Experience cultivating and managing leads in a sales pipeline through preliminary sales stages.
- Track record of attaining quota goals.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Degree in business management or marketing preferred.
- At least 1 year of customer service, call center, or inside‑sales experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in related industries such as manufacturing, distribution, retail, lumber, or automotive.
- Knowledge of marketing and sales principles.
