Forklift Driver

Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Forklift Driver to join our team. This role involves supporting various warehouse operations, ensuring efficient handling of materials, and maintaining a safe and organised environment. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in warehouse management and be comfortable working with heavy lifting and mechanical equipment. Prior knowledge of warehouse systems such as AS400 and warehouse management systems is highly desirable.

Duties Loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment, including forklifts where qualified Managing stock levels through accurate picking, packing, shipping, and receiving activities Operating warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory movements and stock levels Handling materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse Assisting with stock replenishment and organisation of storage areas Performing basic mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations during all operations Supporting construction or materials handling tasks as required for warehouse setup or maintenance Requirements Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred Knowledge of forklift operation (certification advantageous) Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms Ability to handle heavy loads safely and efficiently Mechanical knowledge or experience with construction tools is beneficial Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks and stand for extended periods Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic warehouse setting while contributing to smooth logistical
