Mechanical Design Engineer

Position: Mechanical Design Engineer (Contract)
Contract Design Engineer (Solid Works)
Bradford, North Yorkshire (3–4 days on-site, remainder WFH)
6 months initially
Outside IR35
ASAP start

Role & Responsibilities
Re-create legacy product drawings and generate new 3D models and 2D technical drawings using Solid Works.
Develop full specification documentation for existing products (e.g., shower stools, rehab equipment).
Produce assembly instructions and product manuals, including exploded views and rendered images.
Create and document jig/fixture drawings to ensure complete manufacturing records
Support the transition of acquired products into UK manufacturing facility.
Assist with design and documentation of additional product lines as the project evolves.

Skills & Experience
Strong background in tubing design and manufacturing-focused engineering.

Experience with Metal Fabrication processes
Hands-on experience with DFM principles and understanding of jig/fixture design.
Not purely a product designer — must be familiar with manufacturing environments and practical production considerations.
Ability to work independently and manage a varied, evolving workload.
Comfortable producing technical documentation and manuals from  you feel you have the above experience please apply with your most recent CV
