The Strategy & Regulation team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators. Join our Drainage and Wastewater team as a key technical specialist, producing high-quality models that support hydraulic, environmental, and strategic planning. Youll help shape major regulatory outputs including the Storm Overflow Discharge Reduction Plan, WINEP, and DWMP, driving future wastewater investment.

This strategic role offers the chance to influence technical guidance, innovate with leading partners, and support delivery programmes. We welcome a range of specialisms and offer tailored development to grow your expertise in urban drainage, river hydraulics, and water quality modelling. Its an exciting time to join us as we deliver our largest environmental programmes in AMP8 and plan for long-term improvements across Yorkshire.

Where you fit in:
As our Modeller you will:
Develop high-quality urban drainage models to support hydraulic and environmental water quality assessments. Contribute to long-term strategic planning for wastewater management. Support delivery of key regulatory outputs including:
Storm Overflow Discharge Reduction Plan, Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP)
Drainage and Wastewater Management Plan (DWMP) Shape technical guidance and drive innovation in modelling practices. Collaborate with leading contract partners and internal teams on investigative and delivery programmes. Apply and develop expertise across urban drainage, river hydraulics, and water quality modelling. Engage in AMP8 environmental programmes and future investment planning to improve outcomes for customers and the environment. What skills & qualifications you will need: A degree in a relevant discipline including some modelling activity and/or previous experience in urban drainage modelling Competent in the use of specialist modelling software, e.g. Info Works ICM as used within Yorkshire Water Knowledge of how sewerage systems operate Strong data manipulation, analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for…
