Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within Bradford's Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. We are looking to recruit a professionally qualified practitioner to further develop and grow our community CAMHS team service. You will be working in a community‑based multi‑disciplinary team delivering a service to children, young people and their families in a supportive and lively environment, where differences in training are respected and valued.
You will have the opportunity to play a significant role in the leadership delivery of a modernised and comprehensive service.

We would welcome applications from newly qualified Social Workers (supported by the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)) and Nurses (supported through the Preceptorship Programme).
Main Duties of the JobTo contribute to the process of triaging children and young people who are referred into the service, with complex mental health needs. This will include assessing, planning and delivering care under the supervision and clinical leadership of a senior nurse and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
To take part in the provision of a community‑based treatment service, as an alternative to inpatient care, for children and young people, their families and carers.

- Register Mental Health/Learning Disability/Children's Nurse (including newly qualified), Social Worker (including newly qualified)
- Current registration with professional body
- Experience of working in mental health settings (including placements)
- Knowledge and understanding of contemporary mental health practice
- Knowledge of mental health issues as they affect children and adolescents
- ENB 998 or equivalent or supervision of students qualification
- Understanding of group therapies
- Understanding of individual therapy approaches
