- Utilise the resources in the workshop to achieve budgeted financial and operational objectives without compromising the quality of the work produced, ensuring the highest level of customer experience.
- Ensure effective communication between the Workshop and Front‑of‑House teams to deliver the highest level of service to our customers.
- Lead, coach and develop the Workshop team to elevate their performance and behaviours whilst delivering results, holding regular reviews and team meetings.
- Ensure appropriate resource management by overseeing the workflow through the workshop to achieve the highest levels of productivity, efficiency and utilisation.
- Maintain Health and Safety standards at all times to ensure a clean and safe working environment in the workshop.
- Drive and maintain a team culture of high performance and excellence.
- Previous experience working within a main‑dealer workshop, or as a current workshop controller / assistant manager is a necessity.
- A solid understanding of the technical requirements needed to manage a team of technicians to deliver high standards of workmanship.
- A customer‑centric approach, always striving to deliver service above customer expectations.
- An NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair would be advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with a logical and methodical approach.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- A valid driving licence which is free from excessive penalties.
