Job Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive communication and marketing strategies to enhance the council's public image.

Coordinate with various departments to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.

Manage social media channels and digital marketing campaigns to engage with the community effectively.

Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, press releases, and newsletters.

Analyze market trends and audience insights to inform marketing strategies.

Organize and manage events to promote the council's initiatives and services.

Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication and marketing efforts.

Person Specifications

Must Have

Proven experience in a communications or marketing role.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with different teams and stakeholders.

Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and social media platforms.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Eligibility to work in the UK.

Nice to Have

Experience working in a public sector or council environment.

Knowledge of local government operations.
