• Team Leadership:
  Lead, manage, and supervise social workers, senior social workers, and support staff across Localities and the Integrated Front Door.
• Supervision and Development:

• Front Door Oversight:
  Oversee screening, decision‑making, and the progression of referrals through the Integrated Front Door, ensuring consistent application of thresholds.
• Case Oversight:
  Authorise assessments, plans, and key decisions, maintaining oversight of complex and high‑risk cases to ensure robust assessment and planning.
• Workload Management:
  Allocate and manage workloads effectively to ensure safe, timely, and high‑quality practice.
• Strategic Contribution:
  Chair or contribute to strategy discussions, legal planning meetings, and complex case reviews, ensuring statutory timescales and performance standards are met.
• Quality Assurance:
  Lead audits and quality assurance activity, driving service improvement through learning and practice development.
• Partnership Working:
  Collaborate closely with police, health, education, early help, and partner agencies, representing Children’s Services in multi‑agency forums.
