CASUAL (AD-HOC) HOUSING SUPPORT WORKER -
- To support Clients in housing/family crisis
- To support clients who are homeless or in tenancies with housing issues or personal issues with health etc.
- To work in a day centre for homeless and vulnerable adults where they offer showering, food and launder facilities.
- Develop links with the local community
- Maintenance of the Health and Safety incident and accident records
- Supporting clients with welfare rights, budgeting, employment, education and training
- Ensure communication systems are accurately maintained and up-to-date
- To be aware of and work within agreed organisation policies and procedures
- To ensure clients comply with their tenancy agreement
- This job is a part time role, therefore you will be working with the agency as and when you are needed and on your own accord.
REQUIREMENTS -
- Previous experience in the housing support work sector is a MUST
- Passion for helping vulnerable people in need of support
- Knowledge of the benefits system, tenancies and general finance knowledge
- Knowledge of basic housing management tasks, i.e. rent collection, tenancy agreements and arrears management.
- Must have a proven track record of providing information, advice and guidance to clients
PREFERRED -
- NVQ level 2 or above in the relevant sector
- Driving license and Car
