We’re looking for a Electro-Mechanical Assembly & Test Technician to join the Robotics and Space Operations team at our Brampton Ontario state of the art facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble, repair, rework and/or troubleshoot electromechanical assembliesAdhere to all applicable NASA, IPC and MIL standards.Maintain proper documentation to demonstrate all tasks are completed correctly to meet a customer’s or Engineering’s delivery requirements by paper or electronic meansGeneration of Non-Conformance Reports & provide solutionsAccountable to execute, with guidance, thermal, thermal vacuum, and vibration testing for Factory Acceptance Test Procedures (all products) once the procedure has passed an Engineering-defined First Article InspectionSupport, with guidance, thermal, thermal vacuum and vibration testing during FAI process, and where requested by EngineeringRequired Skills/Abilities:
Training and certification in polymeric, IPC; J-STD
001, 620 including space addendumTraining and capability in handling Liquid and Gas NitrogenTraining and capability in using all capital test equipment (TVACs, thermal chambers, vibe table, Instron, etc)Strong Electronics and Mechanical background including assembly and troubleshooting Electronic/Mechanical devicesFamiliarity with reading and understanding technical drawings and schematicsThorough understanding of techniques in the use of hand tools, soldering, crimping, measurement equipment, etc.Excellent manual dexterityStrong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work within a team environmentEducation and Experience s:
Experience in the Electro-Mechanical field with testing is an assetPrevious experience working in MIL-STD, AS9100 environmentExperience with Lean Manufacturing is an assetCollege Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical technology, technician or equivalent experienceThe compensation for this position is $83,428.80 annually.
Comments/Special Considerations:
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
