Salary Range: $117,464-$146,830 per annum (plus comprehensive benefits)

Hiring Range: $117,464- $132,147 per annum

Who we are:

The Infrastructure Planning, Partnerships & Compliance team at the Region of Peel focuses on strategically planning and managing the Region's infrastructure to support sustainable growth and development. We collaborate with various stakeholders and rights-holders to ensure that infrastructure projects are delivered efficiently and in compliance with regulations, standards and the Province’s delegated duty to consult with Indigenous Communities. Our team plays a vital role in shaping the Region's infrastructure landscape to meet the needs of its residents and businesses while promoting environmental sustainability and resilience.

Reports to:

Program Manager, Infrastructure Planning & Studies Growth & Ground Water Programs

What you will do in this role:

Leverage your interest and expertise in engaging with Indigenous Communities for municipal water and wastewater projects to develop participatory agreements and support staff in implementing project engagement plans. You will play a crucial role in the development of the Regional Water and Wastewater Program Master Plan, communicate technical and regulatory information, provide key business processes to support infrastructure planning, administer assimilation and evaluation of engagement data for new infrastructure and long‑term strategic infrastructure planning;

and support Project Managers in environmental assessments, designs and unique studies carried out by the water and wastewater program planning group.

Review and provide input and recommendations for linear water and wastewater assets’ long term renewal and replacement plans, inspection strategy, financial plans, business plans, processes and strategies.

Develop and compiling the linear water and wastewater capital budget planning in coordination with water/wastewater engineering, and operations teams.

Annually coordinating and developing the linear water and wastewater capital budget for the divisions and present the plans to the managers, directors and general manager for approval.

Deliver large diameter inspection plans to the Condition Assessment & Rehabilitation group for execution.

Utilize linear water and wastewater inspection deliverables from the operations and capital groups to inform the capital budget.

Deliver the large diameter capital budget to Condition Assessment & Rehabilitation for detailed design and execution.

Develop, maintain and analyze information from the decision support system (DSS), long term financial forecasting tools and provide strategic advice to leadership team and Council support modeling of financial requirements to inform long-term utility rate planning and enhance Condition Assessment & Rehabilitation’s coordination of future works.

Continuous improvement of the DSS to service linear diameter water and wastewater infrastructure needs.

Support asset inspection, condition and performance standards, inspection and condition assessment plans in collaboration with water/wastewater engineering, reliability, operations.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive collection of life‑cycle curves, deterioration curves, for water and wastewater linear assets based on industry research, studies and Peel specific data.

Provide expert guidance to other Public Works divisions such as transportation, waste management, operations support in maturing their state of good repair program and developing capital plans as it relates to linear pipe infrastructure.

Liaise with other departments, divisions and sections within the Region, external agencies and municipalities. Participation in various internal stakeholder committees
