Are YOU our next Medical Laboratory Technologist? We’re looking for a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Histology team in Brampton, Ontario. You will be responsible for delivering in a timely manner the highest level of clinical and scientific quality to everyone we serve with a variety of testing using the latest technology. Your contributions will make a difference – the results and reports you deliver will be provided to physicians and greatly impact the downstream solutions and treatment critical to saving someone’s life.

How YOU will make a difference:

Deliver high-quality laboratory services in a timely manner

Perform all aspects of Histology, including grossing specimens, embedding, microtomy, routine and special staining

Ensure sample identification is correct and specimen requirements meet established procedures

Maintain patient confidentiality and accuracy of documentation

Ensure quality control standards and perform routine maintenance on lab equipment

What YOU bring to the role:

You thrive independently, applying sound decision making principles and ability to self-manage in fast-paced environment

You bring a high level of interpersonal skills and you are a natural fit within a collaborative working environment

Carry a CMLTO Registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing

Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level

Solid ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment

Medical laboratory environment

Required walking with repetitive motions

May sit or stand for prolonged period of time with extensive computer use

Required to lift a maximum of 30 pounds as required

Exposed to bio hazardous substances, temperature differences and noise variances

Pay rate: $35.00-$38.75 per hour
The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to, level of experience and education requirements.
