Database and Integration Co-op

Survalent is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Database & Integration Co-op Student to support our Product and Engineering teams by helping maintain and improve our database environments, automate internal workflows, and develop integrations between systems. In this role, you will work closely with technical stakeholders to support data reliability, operational efficiency, and system connectivity across the organization.

You will gain hands-on experience working with production data systems, scripting solutions, and automation tools such as n8n, while contributing to real-world projects that impact both internal operations and product development. This position is ideal for a student who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and learning how modern software systems communicate and scale.

What will you be doing?

• Assist with database setup, configuration, and deployment
• Build and test workflow automations using n8n or similar integration platforms
• Basic to intermediate experience with Power Shell
• Assist and test redundancy deployments of various databases
• Help connect internal systems, APIs, and data pipelines
• Document processes, integrations, and deployment steps
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to support ongoing feature work
• Other duties as required

What are we looking for?

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program
• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL)
• Interest in workflow automation and integration tools (n8n experience is a plus)
• Basic scripting skills (JavaScript, Python, or similar)
• Comfort working with APIs and JSON
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
• Experience with automation frameworks or scripting in other languages
• Experience deploying or managing database environments
