Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer – Production & Quality is responsible for overseeing the production
process, implementing process improvements, and ensuring all products meet quality
standards. This role requires a strong mechanical background, problem-solving skills, and
hands-on experience in manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

 Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste
 Collaborate with production staff to resolve technical issues and implement best
practices
 Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions
 Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and quality defects
 Ensure compliance with company quality standards and industry regulations
 Perform inspections and quality checks at various stages of production
 Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams on quality-related matters
 Support new product introductions and assist with prototype testing and evaluations
 Collect and analyze production and quality data to drive continuous improvement
initiatives

Requirements:
 Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
 4–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role

 Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and quality control
standards
 Familiarity with tools such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis
(e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys)
 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works, or
similar)
 Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
 Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

 Experience in the metal fabrication, automotive, or heavy equipment industry
 Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems
Hands-on experience with measuring tools and inspection equipment
