Production Supervisor

SENIOR FLEXONICS CANADA (), is looking for a Production Supervisor (reporting to the Production Manager) to supervise primarily our hose and expansion joint manufacturing business and will be based at our facility in Brampton, Ontario

The ideal candidate for this role will have 2-3 years of Supervisory experience in a Custom Manufacturing Plant. The candidate should be capable of supporting the Production activities in co-ordination with and in the absence of the Production Manager; ultimately reporting to the Plant Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

• Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of employees on the production floor.

• Interpret specifications and job order to department employees and assign duties.

• Analyze work orders in coordination with Production Manager and Plant Manager to determine production schedules.

• Analyze and solve work related problems or assist employees to solve work problems.

• Ensure that the employees comply with requirements as outlined in the company. employee handbook, Company safety program and Workplace Health & Safety.

• Practice good housekeeping.

• Assist Production Manager and Plant Manager as required.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Must have a College Diploma/Degree in Engineering or strong work experience.

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a Supervisory role in a Custom Manufacturing Plant.

• Welding background will be preferred.

• Lean background an asset.

• Experience working in a unionised environment is an asset.

• Have a strong understanding and commitment to applicable laws and regulations applicable to industrial establishments including WHMIS.

• Possess good communication, leadership, and time management skills

• Be technically inclined

• Detail oriented with the ability to work to tight timelines is critical.

• Energetic and Positive team player.

• Proficient using typical business software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel

• Fluency in English.
