Afternoon shift

What we have to offer

• $21.65 /hour to start - $22.85 /hour after 6 months - $24.05/ hour after 1 year
• Annual Increases based on Collective Bargaining Agreement
• $1000 referral bonus for each successful referral
• Part Time Position, varying hours may apply

Job Description

• Take an active role in changeover procedures and achieve line speed efficiencies
• Visual quality checks of product against customer and internal specifications (including foreign materials and weight checks)
• Ability to maintain cleanliness of areas of responsibility
• Adhere to individual Product Standard Operating Procedures for components and packaging material
• Must wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with Health and Safety requirements
• Pack various meat products into trays/boxes
• Operate slicing machine and weight scale, if necessary
• Complete all checklists correctly in a timely manner
• Pushing & pulling of skids and racks
• Other duties as required/assigned

Requirements:

• Experience with in a food manufacturing environment
• Good communication skills, both written and spoken English
• Attention to detail with basic computer skills and strong leadership skills
• Capable of lifting 25kg
• Require to stand for 8 hours with some lifting and bending
• Ability to follow and execute instructions given by Managers/Supervisors
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment
• Work in conditions under 10˚C
• Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week
