Super Thrifty Drugs Canada Ltd. is seeking an Accounting Technician to join our head office team.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Perform full cycle accounting
- Maintain, monitor, and reconcile GL accounts including cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, accounts payable and accrued liabilities, inter-company and obtaining data from point of sale (POS) system
- Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies, and discuss with supervisor to develop resolutions
- Filing monthly or quarterly government remittances
- Work collaboratively and develop and maintain relationships with team members
Qualifications:
- Education in business administration or accounting is considered an asset
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets with a background in accounting and data entry
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
- Well organized and able to maintain a clean filing system with strong time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
