Neepawa Family PhysicianWork Location: On site – Neepawa Health Centre (500 Hospital Street, Neepawa, MB R0J 1H0), Neepawa Health Unit Services (485 Hospital Street, Neepawa, MB R0J 1H0), Country Meadows Personal Care Home Services (500 Veterans Way, Neepawa, MB R0J 1H0). There is no option to work remotely.

Daily Hours Worked: Various hour shifts (30 to 40 hours per week)
Position Type: Fee for service
Wage Rate: Compensation is fee-for-service as per the Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living negotiated rates. Benefits are not provided, but may be purchased if the successful candidate so desired.
Position SummaryNeepawa Health Centre is a 38 bed acute care and 100 bed long term care facility. Services offered include General Surgery, Diagnostic, Emergency, Public Health, Mental Health, Home Care, and Chemotherapy.
Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Family Physician to join the Neepawa Health Centre. Duties to include: performing all duties associated with a family practice, including diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders and injuries of patients, act as the primary care provider and provide continuous care toward the management of patients’ health. The physician will also share in the Emergency Department on call schedule and will cooperate and coordinate coverage with other physician colleagues.
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Work setting: Private practice, Rural area
Credentials- The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree
- Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
- Must be a member of CMPA or provide proof of equivalent malpractice insurance

- Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
- Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums
- Good work and attendance record
- Complete and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
- All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with the Prairie Mountain Health policy.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
