At Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES), the Engineering & Reliability Team supports the KAES manufacturing and terminal facilities in running a safe and reliable business. The team has diverse capabilities in mechanical engineering, materials science, electrical engineering, instrumentation engineering, project engineering, equipment condition assessment and nondestructive testing, and welding.
The Engineering & Reliability team is hiring an intern for Summer 2026 focused on mechanical design and analysis.
What You Will Do
Support the project engineering team by preparing project scopes, specifications, schedules, budgets, and funding requests.Field verification of engineering drawings and field data collection for project planning and execution.Assist other departments such as operations, Quality etc. with their engineering requests (RES).Research and develop proposed solutions to technical issues/opportunities that are present across multiple manufacturing siteCollaborate on CAD modeling and technical documentation for equipment upgrades.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Currently enrolled as a 3rd or 4th year in a Mechanical Engineering degree or related degree, or alternative program. (e.g., 4 year college program, 2 year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.)Legal authorization to work permanently in Canada for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.Physical RequirementsAbility to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areasAbility to climb up to 150 ft above ground level on occasionPass a pulmonary breathing testAbility to make confined space entry on occasionWhat Will Put You Ahead
Experience using CAD software or any other design software and tools for data analysisPrevious related co-op or internship experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Additionally, everyone has individual work and personal needs.
