About the RoleThis role will perform electrical and technical inspection/repair of processing, packaging, and building systems within our manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing- Installation of electrical and technical components.
- Troubleshoot electrical, technical, PLC, and SCADA systems.
- Provide assistance and support to maintenance and production departments.
- Keep Supervisor aware of any operational issues, plans to rectify and equipment needs.
- Have a working knowledge of all processing, and packaging equipment within our manufacturing environment.
- Provide mentoring for electrical and technical teams including apprenticeship program support.
- Will train and lead all employees in the areas of safety, environmental, GMP’s, and sanitation procedures.
- Must be a safe leader, and be able to coach others in all aspects of safe work.
- Ensure timely, accurate records are maintained (electrical logbook), SAP, calibration records.
- Follow good manufacturing practices and PPE requirements.
- Apply all aspects of lean manufacturing: including 5S, standard work, S.O.P, B.O.P, JHA’s.
- Assist in driving continuous improvement in all areas of the factory as related to electrical services.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
- Shift work may be required.
- Must hold a valid Manitoba Electricians License (HI or HC)
- Must hold a valid Inter-Provincial Journeyman Electrician Certificate (Red Seal)
- Must be a team player, willing to participate with excellent communication skills
- 3 – 5 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment; food processing would be considered an asset.
- Candidate must have strong mechanical aptitude and electrical abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks with a keen sense of urgency.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and electrical schematics.

Starting CAD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts.
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
