We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable process and ensuring timely payments to suppliers.

What you'll be doing... Systems and AI;Seeking Opportunities
- Monitor and analyse accounts payable processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy; seek opportunities with AI to drive the department forward.
- Optimise the use of our newly implemented systems; streamline monthly payment cycle.
- Act as the subject matter expert for future projects relating to AP and expenses.
- Develop and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures; ensure key business process procedures are thoroughly documented.
- Ensure compliance with Group policies and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with government legislations and ongoing reporting requirements.
- Assist with audits, provide documentation and support as needed
- Coach and develop accounts payable colleagues, including setting performance goals and offering growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations, One World, IT and Marketing to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
- Manage vendor onboarding and relationships; resolve any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices
- Prepare and analyse accounts payable reports, including aging reports, cash flow projections & optimisation, and vendor performance metrics
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end close
- Collaborate with Group and Financial Reporting to drive improvement in intercompany reporting.
- Previous experience in accounts payable and small team management
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with SAP
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines
- Experience in process improvement and implementing best practices
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience in using AI in business environment would be advantageous
