Registered Nurse – Emergency Department, Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, Princess of Wales Hospital.

Fixed Term/secondment for 12 months to cover maternity leave

The Emergency Department sees 66,000 patients a year across 15 major bays, 3‑bed resuscitation room and a new 4‑bed Paediatric Emergency Bay.

As a band 5 nurse you will develop knowledge and skills in emergency nursing within majors, rapid assessment, minors and resuscitation room.

Support clinical development via Band 5 competency pack, in‑house training and formal courses.

• Valid Nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
• Nursing degree or equivalent qualification
• Currently studying towards a nursing degree (if applicable)

• Experience communicating within multi‑disciplinary teams (MDT)
• Enhanced clinical skills/training (e.g., cannulation, phlebotomy)
• Basic IT competence
• Welsh Language Skills Level 3 and above (desirable)

• Previous emergency department experience
• Previous acute nursing experience

£31,516 to £38,364 per annum, pro‑rata if part‑time. Competitive pension, generous leave, flexible work and career growth.
